IBPS Recruitment 2024, Check Notification and Apply Online for Probationary Officer Post

The IBPS PO (Probationary Officer) exam, conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), is an annual examination aimed at selecting candidates for PO positions in various public sector banks across India.

This year, 11 participating banks will be part of the recruitment process, namely Punjab National Bank, Union Bank of India, Bank of India, Indian Bank, Canara Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Central Bank of India, UCO Bank, Bank of Baroda, Punjab & Sind Bank, and Bank of Maharashtra. IBPS PO 2024 Educational Criteria

Graduation Degree: Candidates must have a graduation degree (e.g., BA, BCom, BSc, B.Tech) in any field from a university recognized by the Government of India. Those with equivalent qualifications recognized by the Central Government are also eligible to apply for the IBPS CRP exam. Applicants need to have a valid mark sheet or degree certificate that confirms their graduation status on the registration day and must provide the percentage of marks obtained during the registration process for the IBPS Bank-PO exam.

Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using computer systems is required both for performing job duties and for taking the IBPS PO exam, which is conducted online.

Language Proficiency: Candidates should have verbal and written proficiency in the official language of the State/UT they are applying for. They must be able to read, write, and speak the language

Age Limits

Candidates applying for the IBPS PO exam must be between 20 and 30 years old. Age relaxation is provided as per government norms:

IBPS Probationary Officer Recruitment Selection Procedure

The IBPS PO selection process consists of three stages:

  1. Preliminary Examination: A qualifying exam that filters candidates for the main examination.
  2. Main Examination: A more comprehensive exam that tests candidates’ knowledge and aptitude in various subjects.
  3. Interview: Conducted by participating organizations, coordinated by the nodal bank in each State/UT with the help of IBPS.

Application Fee

The application fee for the IBPS PO 2024 exam varies by category. For candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and PWD categories, the fee is Rs. 175, which includes only the intimation charges. For General and other categories, the fee is Rs. 850, which includes both the application fee and intimation charges.
