The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is ready to organize the NDA 2 2024, which is a national-level examination that recruits young aspirants for the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. Those interested can apply online from May 15, 2024 from the official website upsc.gov.in, until June 4, 2024, to take part in this competitive exam.
The Commission will conduct an examination on September 1, 2024, for entry into the National Defence Academy (NDA) for the 154th course and the 116th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC), which is set to commence on July 2, 2025. The exam is conducted across the country, and this time, it will be held in 78 cities.

NDA 2024 Eligibility Criteria
For the Army Wing of the National Defence Academy, candidates must have passed the 12th Class or an equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
For the Air Force and Naval Wings, as well as the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy, candidates need to have passed the 12th Class with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Candidates should be between 16.5 to 19.5 years of age. Eligible candidates must be born not earlier than July 2, 2005, and not later than July 1, 2008.
The application fee for the NDA exam is Rs. 100 for General category candidates. SC/ST candidates, female candidates, and wards of JCOs/NCOs/ORs are exempted from the payment.
This fee can be paid by depositing cash at any branch of the State Bank of India or through Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card, UPI Payment, or Internet banking from any bank.
Note: Applicants who choose the “Pay by Cash” method must generate and print the Pay-in-slip during the Part-II registration process. This slip must be used to deposit the fee at an SBI branch counter on the next working day.
UPSC NDA Selection Process
The selection process consists of the following stages, and it is compulsory to clear all of them.
Written Examination: The first stage comprises two papers—Mathematics and the General Ability Test (GAT). Both papers are objective type (MCQs) and are conducted on the same day.
SSB Interview: Candidates who qualify the written exam are called for the SSB interview. The SSB interview evaluates the candidate’s personality, intelligence, and leadership qualities. It includes various tests such as the Psychological Test, Group Testing Officer Tasks, and Personal Interview.
Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by the SSB undergo a thorough medical examination.
Final Merit List: The final merit list is prepared based on the candidate’s performance in the written exam, SSB interview, and medical examination. Successful candidates are offered admission to the NDA or Naval Academy.
