The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination, which is conducted for recruitment into the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, and Officers’ Training Academy. The CDS 2 2024 is scheduled for 1st September 2024.

The application period is from May 15, 2024, to June 4, 2024. The exam is scheduled for September 1, 2024. There are a total of 459 vacancies available.

Educational Qualification
  • IMA and Officers’ Training Academy: Graduation degree in any subject from a recognized university.
  • Indian Naval Academy: Graduation in Engineering from a recognized university/institution.
  • Air Force Academy: Bachelor’s degree with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor of Engineering.
Age Limits
  • Indian Military Academy and Indian Naval Academy: Unmarried males, 20 to 24 years.
  • Air Force Academy: Both married and unmarried males, 20 to 24 years, but marriage during training is not permitted.
  • Officers’ Training Academy: Unmarried males and females, 20 to 24 years.
Application Fee

The application fee for CDS 2 2024 is Rs. 200/- for General and OBC candidates. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST categories and female candidates are exempted from paying the fee. The fee can be paid through various modes, including net banking, Mastercard/Debit Card, or by making a cash deposit at any branch of SBI Bank.

CDS Selection Process
