- IMA and Officers’ Training Academy: Graduation degree in any subject from a recognized university.
- Indian Naval Academy: Graduation in Engineering from a recognized university/institution.
- Air Force Academy: Bachelor’s degree with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor of Engineering.
- Indian Military Academy and Indian Naval Academy: Unmarried males, 20 to 24 years.
- Air Force Academy: Both married and unmarried males, 20 to 24 years, but marriage during training is not permitted.

The application fee for CDS 2 2024 is Rs. 200/- for General and OBC candidates. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST categories and female candidates are exempted from paying the fee.
