Railway Group D Educational Qualification
In order to be eligible for the RRB Group D vacancies, candidates must fulfil any of the following criteria:
- Completion of 10th standard (SSLC/Matriculation) from a recognized educational board.
- Possession of an ITI certificate recognized by either NCVT or SCVT.
- Holding an equivalent certification.
Age Limit
To apply for RRB Group D positions, candidates must be within the age range of 18 to 33 years. However, there are certain age relaxations available for candidates belonging to specific categories. For candidates belonging to OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), there is a relaxation of 3 years in the upper age limit. Similarly, for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories, there is a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit.
Application Fee
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has set the application fee for Group D recruitment based on candidate categories. General and OBC candidates are required to pay an application fee of ₹500. However, an amount of ₹400 is refundable after participating in the Computer-Based Test (CBT).
For candidates belonging to SC, ST, EWS, Women, Ex-Servicemen, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), the application fee is reduced to ₹250, which is fully refundable post-CBT. The refundable fee structure is set up to motivate a large number of people to apply and to make sure that those who do apply are serious about going through with the recruitment process.
