The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), New Delhi, is organizing the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) examination for the 2024 academic session.

The online application for the Delhi D.El.Ed 2024 commenced on April 25, 2024, at 17:00 hrs. The deadline to apply online and complete the fee payment is May 15, 2024. The computer-based test is scheduled for either May 29, 2024 or May 30, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria for D.El.Ed. Course Admission

Educational Qualifications

  • Applicants must have completed the Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2 level) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board or university.
  • A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination is mandatory for admission to the D.El.Ed. Course.
  • For candidates who have taken the 10+2 examination through CBSE, the aggregate will be calculated based on the best five subjects, which must include at least one language.
  • For candidates from other boards or universities, the aggregate marks will be calculated based on the best five subjects, including at least one language, as required for passing the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent as per the rules of the concerned board/university.
  • Specific seats for candidates opting to teach Urdu or Punjabi are available in designated institutes (20 seats each for Urdu and Punjabi).
  • Candidates must have passed Urdu or Punjabi as one of the subjects in both their Secondary and Senior Secondary Examinations.

A relaxation of 5% in the qualifying marks is provided for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), or Persons with Disabilities (PwD).

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for applicants to the Delhi D.El.Ed 2024 is 24 years as of September 30, 2024. However, there is an age relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD).

Delhi D.El.Ed. Course Admission Registration Fee

Upon completing the online application form, candidates must pay the non-refundable application fee exclusively via online modes such as Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, RuPay, or UPI. Payment of this fee is compulsory, and any application submitted without the fee will be immediately rejected.
