Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed the 10th standard from a recognized educational board as a minimum educational qualification to be eligible for the SSC MTS exam.
SSC Multi-Tasking Staff Age Limits
The age limit for candidates applying for MTS roles is 18-25 years. For Havaldar positions, the maximum age is set at 27 years. It means applicants should be born before 02/08/1996 and not later than 01/08/2005.
Reserved category candidates are eligible for age relaxation according to government norms:

Application Fee
The application fee for the SSC MTS 2024 exam varies depending on the candidate’s category. General candidates are required to pay a registration fee of Rs. 100. However, there is no application fee for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD categories and female candidates.
Selection Process for SSC MTS 2024
Paper-I (Objective Type): It is a computer-based examination and consists of two sessions Session I focuses on Numerical and Mathematical Ability, Reasoning Ability, and Problem-Solving skills, and session II evaluates General Awareness and English Language and Comprehension.
Physical Test (PET/PST): This phase is only for candidates applying for the Havaldar post. The PET assesses the physical fitness of the candidates through various activities such as running, long jump, and high jump, which test the candidates’ endurance and physical strength. The PST measures the physical standards, including height, chest, and weight, to ensure the candidates meet the required physical criteria.
Document Verification: Following the tests, all qualifying candidates undergo document verification, where they must present their original documents to verify the authenticity of the information provided in the application forms.
Final Selection: This selection is based on the performance of candidates in a computer-based test. For Havaldar positions, candidates must also pass the PET/PST. A merit list is prepared based on the scores obtained, and candidates who meet all criteria during document verification are considered for recruitment.
