To be eligible, candidates must have completed their Intermediate (10+2) examination with a minimum aggregate score of 50%. However, for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, or PH categories, the required minimum aggregate score is relaxed to 45%. Additionally, applicants must have studied Bengali, Urdu, Hindi, Nepali, or Santhali (in Olchiki script) as one language subject and English as the other, each carrying 100 marks.
The minimum age for all candidates is 17 years. For the WB D.EL.ED 2024-2026 program, the upper age limit varies by category. General category candidates can apply up to the age of 35 years. For those belonging to SC or ST categories, the upper age limit is extended to 40 years.
Candidates in the OBC-A and OBC-B categories are eligible up to 38 years of age. PH (Physically Handicapped) candidates have an upper age limit of 45 years, while ex-servicemen can apply up to the age of 55 years.
The application fee for the WB D.EL.ED 2024-2026 program varies according to the candidate’s category. General category candidates, as well as ex-servicemen, in-service teachers, and those in vocational categories, are required to pay Rs. 1000/-. Candidates belonging to OBC-A and OBC-B categories need to pay a fee of Rs. 750/-. For SC, ST, and PH (Physically Handicapped) candidates, the application fee is reduced to Rs. 500/-.

WB Diploma Course Admission Process
A merit list will be created based on the marks candidates scored in their 10+2 exams, considering total percentage and category-based reservations.
